I admire what you have and are doing...i took my apprenticship atJaguar cars many years ago. and i used to live in Milton Keynes before i came here to the US. i now run a Jaguar repair shop here in Jacksonville.. my own cars are a 1974 E/type v12 roadster and my daily car is a 1997 Vanden Plas. 300 .. i could do with a first class mechanic.. how about it???

What a beautiful car! I myself am a 26 year old X300 owner. I've always loved the XJ40 though, and actually prefer its styling to the later car, especially with the rectangular headlamps! it was the car I always wanted my Dad to have!

I think you have a smashing website, and I am not ashamed to say that you are my daughter! When I find time I will add Tiggy to "PJ Friends" along with my other Jaguars, past, and hopefully, future! Maybe we should have a register for Regency Red XJ40's and start the ball rolling with KUH and Tiggy lol !!! Nice to read all the positive comments on this page - there are some really lovelyJaguar people out there, who obviously appreciate what you are doing! Your tips on fixing XJ40 problems are very useful - I must remember to mention those on Xclusively Jaguar! Well done, Esta-jane, and keep up the good work !!!

Well, not really had any problems, excpet that the rust is trying to come out from the arches again. I thought all the rust had been removed but I guess its one of those things, once there is rust there it is hard to keep it away. I would suggest not to have a paint job unless you are going to sort out any rust problems (if you have any!) Good luck getting yours done, and please do email me any pics once it is done!!

Hey Esta,

Your '40 is in beautiful condition, looks really good resprayed. I think red was one of the best colours for these Jags. You have better knowledge than me at all the mechanical stuff! lol Liked the website!

Pretty cool to set up a web site for your own car(s).
You know, KUH (or KU) means COW in Norwegian. Car looks pretty nice. Better than my 1994 Xj12 of same color combo, actually! Is there a way I can contribute to your gallery? Pics of my XJ12 for instance...

Cheers,
Bard

Woops! I didn't realize. You are the aged female" everybody is talking about after Thorsby. I hope the rest of my entry showed that I'm not just someone trying to be a total ass, calling you or your car a cow! Actually, well done! Also, your style of photografy is pretty cool! Cheers, Bard

An XJ40 for a first Jag eh? Not bad for a young lady. They are great cars and I'm sure yours will be spoilt to bits. Come over and vist the J-L forum sometime.

Welcome to Jaguar ownership. I'm on my second - a Regency Red 1990 4L Sovereign with Magnolia leather interior. The first was hardly used, as I sold it after six months, but this one SHOULD be a longer term prospect. I'm just sorting out my inner wing rust and then have a burnt exhaust valve to take care of. After that I should be rolling! BEST OF LUCK WITH YOURS.
